New! Forums for editors

You may have noticed a new menu item on this site called Forums. That’s pretty self-explanatory – I’ve added forums because many students and colleagues have asked for them. I’m hosting them at my site for ease of integration with the work I’m doing over there.

If you would like to register for the forums, please just send me an email ( with your full name and email address (for password recovery) and I’ll get you set up.

Note that this registration will also allow you access to the Writing/Publishing forum, the Editors forum, and the book club forum. The book club, in which we read published novels from a developmental editing perspective, meets on the first Wednesday of the month).

The first DE Book Club title will be Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. We’ll meet on February 5, 2020. I’ll start with an overview post at around noon Pacific time.

I hope you enjoy!
