Each month, members of the Naked Editing Book Club read a published novel and discuss what we, as developmental editors, think works effectively as well as what could be improved. Our goals are to learn more about storytelling techniques, connect with other developmental editors, and improve our ability to identify developmental problems and their solutions.

We’ll be reading both indie published and traditionally published novels, literary and genre fiction.

Join the Naked Editing Book Club

There are two options for joining the Naked Editing Book Club: You can (1) enroll in one month at a time (perfect if you’re not sure you’ll be able to join in the conversation each month) or (2) enroll in the full year at once (perfect if you like to save money).

Enrollment in the month-to-month Naked Editing Book Club begins on the 1st of the previous month and ends on the last day of the month. (For example, the January session will be open for enrollment December 1 through 31.)* Conversation about the pick begins on the first of the month and ends on the last. (So the January pick will be open for discussion January 1 through 31.)

*Registration for the inaugural session, September 2022, is open now.
