If you’ve been an editor for a few years, you know that starting your freelance business is just the first step! After that, growing, changing, and managing your freelance career can prove challenging. It’s easy to get stuck spinning your wheels.
This class + Mastermind group is designed to help you solve business problems and to grow your business with the support and guidance of peers and a group mentor.
We’ll talk about everything from avoiding burnout to earning more money to reducing expenses to deciding which accounting software to use. We’ll also dig into issues like author management, finding the best marketing strategies for you, and more!
What you can expect:
- Twelve short weekly lessons help you think about potential ways to build your business.
- Weekly conversation starters offer thoughts and suggestions for you to consider and react to.
- A dedicated, private forum allows you to share challenges, thoughts, and questions with peers and the group mentor.
- Monthly “Ask Me Anything” chats that you can attend live or review later give you real-time feedback.
The group mentor for this class is Jennifer Lawler, founder of Club Ed and a long-time freelance editor.
Although the lesson materials remain the same from session to session, you can sign up for additional 12-week/90-day sessions to get the help and support you need.
The class is entirely online and asynchronous (you don’t have to be in any particular place at any particular time to participate) but weekly assignments are due by specific deadlines.
